Diagnosis of cirrhosis can be suggested by physical examination and [[blood]] tests, and can be confirmed by liver biopsy in some patients. Complications of cirrhosis include mental confusion, coma, fluid accumulation ([[glossary:ascites]]), internal bleeding, and [[kidney]] failure.
