 +(1) A term used to describe an individual who does not currently show symptoms of the [[disease]] being discussed. Asymptomatic individuals may develop symptoms of the disease at a later point in time if and when the disease onsets. ​
  
 +(2) Asymptomatic:​ Without symptoms. For example, an asymptomatic [[infection]] is an infection with no symptoms.

 +(3)(Science:​ symptom) without obvious signs or symptoms of [[disease]]. [[Cancer]] may cause symptoms and warning signs, but, especially in its early stages, cancer may develop and grow without producing any symptoms. ​
